RDF -- blowing bubbles in the air? Knowledge structures, inference engines, you name it...
- To complicated?
- RDF is meant to be not only machine readable, but machine understandable. Doubt it will help me doing semantic croswalking.
- Sensitive for versioning, semantic drift
- No support for multilinguality in RDF datamodel, beyond the support provided by XML.
Poor support for metadata in authoring tools.
Vocabularies: Availability and licensing conditions for classification systems and thesauri. A multilingual modular thesaurus/classification system GNU Licence!?!?
- Central vocabulary servers, standardized protocol for accessing such beasts
- Integration of vocabulary support into search engines
- Integration of vocabulary support into authoring tools
